Springmoor Management Profile: Executive Director, Fred Conner
"Leaders lead from the front."
Here at Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community, our management take that quote to heart and strive to do anything they can to make our residents feel happy in their new homes and community.
One of these leaders is Fred Conner, the Executive Director of Springmoor. A native of Rockingham, North Carolina, Fred has worked at our community for seven and a half years and loves being able to help seniors transition into their new homes.
As the executive director he handles the day-to-day operations of Springmoor, both with the residents and the employees. This makes him a very busy man, but he is always available to the residents for any of their problems and is more than happy to help in any way he can. When asked what challenges come with his role, he responded that it’s “the fun of looking ahead and trying to anticipate resident needs.”
Over the years that Fred has been at Springmoor, he’s made many memories and stories to share with prospective residents. This includes fishing trips with residents to the coast, to driving around in severe winter conditions picking up staff members so they can come into work. Whatever is needed of Springmoor, Fred is there to make sure it gets done. One of his favorite memories was Motorcycle Day. This was with the residents that celebrated Springmoor’s 25th anniversary. He said it was “absolutely awesome to see 80+ residents go for motorcycle rides, and the fun they had.”
Fred has a great way of making both the residents and the employees of Springmoor feel that they can always come to him for help or advice. Even if he’s not the one with the solution to the problem, he can point you in the direction you need to go.
Having great leadership makes for a great team, and that’s what we have here at Springmoor. So come out and meet us to see how you could fit into this community. One thing Fred wants to pass along to all prospective residents is that “it’s such a great community and lifestyle with the best residents and staff.”
